Message bring up in court and of strategy. Have a few pics of car (clearance issues), and of the road (striped for passing; of wooded or brushy areas near road where animals might have darted out from). If the ticket references a milepost marker, and a pic that includes that mp shows a passing zone, definitely have a pic of that. Bring up the issues of your driving record, the light traffic, your under limit (prudent) speed at the time.

Rehearse your arguments and the points you want to bring up. Try to anticipate the questions you may be asked and have explanations for anything that you did that was against traffic law.

Like WildBillZx said, check your attitude at the door. Treat it as a debate in which the party with the best logical arguments will win. Strength of ideas, not of emotions, will prevail. Be well prepared, respectful and dress up a bit

I've been to court twice in the past year to contest tickets. In my state, cops never appear to defend traffic citations but simply provide a written statement. If this applies to you, you will be even more likely to win, especially if you have evidence and clear arguments to counter the police with. Recently I got a 2nd degree negligent driving ticket (26 mph over) reduced to 10 over simply by having a good explantion and pic evidence. Oh ya, prepared and practiced for hours, was stressed out for a day ahead of time, and even brought a bottle of water with me for fear I would lose my voice. Saved $437, my driving record, and probably a lot of insurance money.

I think you can beat this rap with evidence, preparation and self confidence. Good luck.

Car speed road calling / bird freed leaf falling / we can bide time.

Chance favors the informed
